Able to make the advertisements section un postable by other people apart from the threadstarter?

And to facilitate communication and feedback, a separate Q&A section can be set up.

This way,an advertisement wont be corrupted by so much TCSS

I dont think there is any settings for this.. unless u work ur way around creating groups for vendors and set permission on a forum to allow onli the vendor group to post. However, it will create more work for the mods when new vendors want to join the group.

Guys:

lets make one thing clear, VOGS is a neutral party in ALL commercial transactions whether between merchants/members or secondhand purchases.

We also do not collect any advertisement fees from merchants. Plus we do not have any intention of commercializing VOGS in any way. Hence we do not intend to do any additional work with regards to vendors.

However where we find that there is flaming going on, we will step in as we have done in the recent case.

please refer to the below:

Hi Wrecker, thanks for the clarification.

Please do not mistaken me as a trouble maker who is seeking to make more work for the admins. I am suggesting this in light of the recent incidents where EVERYONE is flame regardless of intentions.

This has not bode well for the seller as anyone can go in and "create trouble"

However, this is just a suggestion.Hope you don't take it the wrong way Wink

i wanted this to be clear as you are not the only one requesting changes to the vendors/buy/sell section recently.

VOGS was setup by the pioneer mod team with no intention for commercialization at all. it was setup for members to exchange/share info on their vios. And I do intend to continue this tradition.

The buy/sell and vendors folder came about due to member's request and has never been the purpose for setting up and continuing with VOGS.

Not being obligated to vendors means that vendors are not protected if they deserve the criticism and brickbats.

However where the posters are obviously out to just create trouble like the recent case, we will step in.

Last but not least to the person or person causing problems, if you still have an identity here and read this. VOGS has been a peaceful and good place for members and the moderator team will not hesitate to take action against any members who go out to cause problems in the forum.

Hiding behind a computer does not mean that legal action cannot be taken against you. In VOGS, there was a successful legal action taken by a vendor against a member who posted unsubstantiated comments against the vendor.
